The Minimally Invasive Robotic Association offers…
- Interaction with leaders on the cutting edge of minimally invasive robotic interventions and techniques.
- An international membership dedicated to providing the best diagnostic and therapeutic care possible, even in distant and remote places.
- The sharing of knowledge with a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including surgeons, internists, radiologists, engineers and computer scientists who are developing and using minimally invasive robotics.
- The opportunity to contribute to innovations, integration and implementation of future developments in areas such as NOTES and Solo Surgery.
- An opportunity to contribute in organizing the training and establishing requirements for credentialing.

Eligibility requirements for fellowship in the Society:
| ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP: | An active surgeon in General Surgery, Colon & Rectal Surgery, Urology, Gynecology, or Thoracic Surgery who performs robotic interventions or actively involved in research or development. |
| CANDIDATE MEMBERSHIP: | A resident/fellow or graduate surgeon actively enrolled in a dedicated training program in which robotic interventions form a part of the core curriculum. Candidate status is maintained for up to three (3) years following residency/fellowship to allow for these members to become integrated in minimally invasive robotic intervention. |
| ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP: | A physician, nurse, engineer and other healthcare professional actively involved in robotic surgery. |
APPLICANT REVIEW CYCLE DATES:
Applications are reviewed twice a year in January and July.
Deadline for complete applications for January review period is December 31st.
Deadline for complete applications for July review period is June 30th.
MEMBERSHIP DUES
Active Members pay annual dues of $150 USD per year.
Candidate Members pay annual dues of $150 USD per year for 3 years following completion of residency or fellowship. No dues during residency or fellowship.
Associate Members pay annual dues of $100 USD per year.
Annual dues invoices are on the calendar year and payable January 1st of each year.

- APPLICATION FORM: You have two options for completing the application form. The easiest and more preferable option is to complete the online application form (click here). A printable version is available also (click here).
- APPLICATION FEE: Include $100 application fee. Checks (USD only) made payable to MIRA may be mailed or payment by MasterCard or VISA credit cards. Credit card information can be given at the end of the on line application form or written on the printable version.
- CURRICULUM VITAE - submit a copy of your most recent CV. This can be sent via mail, fax or as an e-mail attachment.
